Billing Specialist ( Patient Accounting)
The Specialist, Patient Accounts Medicare Billing is primarily responsible for daily referrals and verification of Medicare patient’s eligibility. The Medicare Specialist will also be responsible for daily billing and ERA retrieval and PSR Report downloads. The specialist will assist the Medicare Manager in billing support, claims follow-up and online system correction and entry.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field is required.

2. One (1) year experience in automated healthcare receivables and Medicare industry (rules and regulations) experience is necessary, two years preferred.

3. Familiarity with the Medicare Online System is a must.

4. Organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.

5. Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with patients and families, healthcare professionals, and agency personnel primarily by telephone.

6. Familiarity with electronic billing systems, PC software and spreadsheet applications is a must.
