VNA Hospice Hosts 2008 Taste of Life Date: 9/26/2008 May 23, 2008 [Cleveland] – On Friday, September 26th, Hospice and Palliative Care Partners of Ohio (HPCPO), an agency of the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA), will hold its 5th annual Taste of Life wine tasting and silent auction. The event will take place at the Ford Conference Center, located at the VNA, 2500 East 22nd Street in Cleveland. Attendees of the Under the Sea themed fundraising event will sample a wide variety of wines from around the world and enjoy delicious foods. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on hundreds of wonderful silent auction items and test their luck at the casino. This year’s Taste of Life proceeds will benefit Hospice and Palliative Care Partners of Ohio’s Special Services. Our hospice provides care and support that ensures our patients’ comfort, while enabling them to remain at home surrounded by family and friends. With services going to over 1,200 patients a year, support and volunteer programs that are not covered by Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance require philanthropic support to meet the demands of our diverse community. “Funds raised from Taste of Life will help support the counseling, spiritual care and bereavement programs offered by Hospice,” said Roberta L. Laurie, Executive Director of HPCPO. “Last year’s event raised over $50,000 and we hope to build upon that success this year.” Tickets for the 2008 Taste of Life event are $75 per person and $150 per person for VIP tickets. VIP tickets include general ticket perks plus a private reception, hand passed hors d’oeuvres, an exclusive tasting and a $25 casino token. Corporate sponsorships and donations are welcome.
