Suffer from pain and numbness? Don’t let pain and numbness rob you of a normal life. The Visiting Nurse Association has launched an important new rehabilitation therapy program for patients suffering from peripheral neuropathy – Anodyne Therapy. This therapy is the first to demonstrate restoration of sensation in the feet of diabetic patients along with improved gait and balance.

What is Peripheral Neuropathy?
Peripheral neuropathy is nerve damage resulting from poor blood flow to nerves in the feet, legs and hands. Peripheral neuropathy is one of the most common complications of diabetes, but may also be caused by circulatory problems, medications, chemotherapy, alcohol, AIDS and unknown causes.

What is Anodyne Therapy and why does it help?
The Anodyne Therapy System is a patented, FDA-cleared, non-invasive device that uses near-infrared light emitting diodes to safely increase local circulation and reduce pain. Use in thousands of patients and over a million clinical treatments has demonstrated that the Anodyne Therapy System increases microcirculation in patients with Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy, who often have severe vascular impairment.

New data shows that treatment with this therapy can also improve balance and gait and reduce the risk of falls by 96% in the elderly patient with neuropathy. This is the first therapy program to help patients with all of the devastating complications of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy.

Does your pain…
Keep you from accomplishing all you would like each day?
Keep you from walking as far or as fast as you would like?
Prevent you from sleeping or wake you up a night?

If you have answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, the Visiting Nurse Association may be able to help. Call us today to find out if Anodyne Therapy is right for you or your loved one.
