Richard Banozic,
MD
Dr. Banozic joined VNA HouseCalls as the Medical Director in March 2003.
Banozic, a native Ohioan, raised in Niles, graduated cum laude with a degree in
biology and chemistry at Case Western Reserve University in 1986, finished
medical school at CWRU in 1991 and did his residency in Internal Medicine at
University Hospitals of Cleveland and the Wade Park Veterans Administration
facility.
In 1994, Banozic joined University Primary Care Physicians (UPCP), practicing in
Beachwood, Cleveland Heights and North Royalton until 2001. At that point, he
decided to share his talents at a few medical wards in the area, including
University Hospitals of Cleveland, the Douglas Moore Health Center, and locum
tenens work in urgent care.
Banozic also volunteered at the free clinics associated with Southwest General
Hospital and the Northcoast Regional Health Ministries. He is a member of the
AMA, OSMA, and the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland. In his free time he enjoys
biking and hiking in the Metroparks, and fishing.
Dan Gauntner, RN, MSN, CNS
With 19 years of experience, Dan Gauntner is the director of VNA HouseCalls. He
attended Marquette University, University of Akron, and Ursuline College and is
a clinical nurse specialist in medical-surgical nursing. His nursing experience
includes working with University Hospitals and the Cleveland Clinic,
specializing in hospice and palliative care. His expertise in nursing and
end-of-life care makes Dan a valuable member of the HouseCalls team.
Chantal Walsh, MD
Walsh is a Cleveland native joining the VNA HouseCalls team from MetroHealth
Medical Center. She attended medical school at St. Louis University School of
Medicine in Missouri, then returned home for her residency in Internal Medicine
at MetroHealth, also completing a fellowship there in Geriatric Medicine. Dr.
Walsh is currently with the MetroHealth Department of Family Practice and
Geriatrics, which gives her the opportunity to partner with the VNA doing
housecalls.
Evelyn Arambasick, MSN, CNP
Evelyn Arambasick has been a nurse practioner for over 20 years. She was
initially hospital trained and received her MSN from Case Western Reserve
University. She has worked as an administrator and has taught nursing at the
baccalaureate level. As a staff nurse Arambasick has worked in med-surg,
orthopedics, neurovascular rehab, CCU, psych, and some ER.
